1. Initial enquiry and site visit

We talk through what you want, visit your home on Canvey Island for accurate measuring, photograph the space and note existing services. This visit avoids assumptions and gives us the information to prepare a realistic quote.

2. Design and proposal

We remove and dispose of old units as part of the project if requested. We can arrange recycling or charitable donation where practical, but larger waste removal may be a separate line on the quote.

6. Do you fit worktops like quartz or solid wood?

Yes. We template and fit laminate, solid surface, quartz and timber worktops. For large-format stone we arrange a template visit once carcasses are installed to ensure accurate joins.

7. How do you protect my home during works on Canvey Island?

We use dust sheets, floor protection, sealed skips where needed and daily tidy-ups. For longer projects we provide a weekly schedule and a point of contact so you know what’s happening.

8. Can you work around restricted access or parking on the island?

Yes. We plan deliveries and may use smaller vehicles or hand carry items when streets are tight. We check access at survey to avoid hold-ups on install day.

- Scope of work: replacing doors and worktops is less involved than a full strip-out with new plumbing and electrics.

- Materials and finishes: laminate worktops and standard doors are more economical; quartz, solid timber or bespoke joinery increases costs.

- Appliances: integrated appliances and induction hobs with dedicated circuits are additional costs for parts and certified installation.

- Structural or mechanical work: moving drainage runs, creating openings, structural supports for islands require extra labour and possibly building control notices.

- Access and site preparation: narrow streets, restricted parking or properties with minimal storage may need multiple smaller deliveries or additional labour to manage logistics.

- Unforeseen works: older properties may reveal rotten joists, corroded pipes or hard-to-find faults when the kitchen is opened up. We identify these early where possible and provide options rather than surprise invoices.
